Webmaster & Programmer Analyst

University of California, San Francisco

Technical lead, writer, editor, and primary coder for the redesign of the School of Pharmacy web site at pharmacy.ucsf.edu, March 2002. The redesign had about 225 pages and took 4.5 months. I hand-coded more than 90% of the pages. Within one year, the site grew to over twice this size.
Webmaster, database programmer/analyst, and systems administrator for the School of Pharmacy.
Provided Windows NT 4.0, 2000, & XP desktop support and Windows NT 4.0 & 2003 server administration for a small network of 12 workstations.

Took time off to: travel in Europe and California; relocate from Seattle to San Francisco; set up a web server at home; learn PHP, MySQL, XHTML, VB, ASP, XML; and develop some small web sites.

Co-designed and co-programmed Adobe's web community forums, adobeforums.com, using Web Crossing software by Lundeen, January 2000.
Technical lead for redesign of the Support section of the adobe.com web site, October 1999. This redesign had several thousand pages but took only 1.5 months. Special recognition award from Adobe Senior Vice President Jim Stephens.
Designed, programmed, maintained, and published 3 web databases using Lotus Notes. Special recognition award from Adobe Customer Support Web/Online Services Manager Tom McIntire.
Designed and managed web pages representing the core of the Adobe Support subsite using HTML, CSS, and SSI.
Wrote Bourne shell and Perl scripts and performed basic server administration in a Sun Solaris environment.
Restructured and managed the Adobe downloads library, which involved packaging and uploading files, writing and editing technical content, and programming and populating a web database of metadata.
